Memberships are great value. The low-cost annual membership fee allows you to join as many classes as you wish, subject to vacancies, class size and timetable constraints.
Membership is per calendar year and must be renewed each year. Please note that the annual membership fee is fixed for any time within a calendar. It is NOT subject to a pro rata rate.

Renew your Membership (existing members)
Existing (or lapsed) U3A Highvale Members can open the membership renewal steps for directions on renewing your membership. Once payment has been accepted, you will be able to enrol in classes by logging into the the member portal.
If you have forgotten your Membership ID or your password, follow the Recovering your Membership ID or Password steps for directions on recovering these.
How to make a Payment
We support 2 methods of payment:
1. Pay Online using Visa or Mastercard (Preferred & Fastest)
This is by far the fastest method of payment and you will be able to immediately enrol in courses as soon as payment has been successful.
As you go through your sign up or renewal process online and you arrive at the Member Status page, select “Proceed to Payment” and then select “Pay Online 202x” click on the eWay logo to take you to the secure eWay payment page where you can pay with you Visa or Mastercard. Once payment is successful, you will be able to enrol in courses.
2. Payment into our Bank Account
Step A. Annual membership is to be paid into the U3A Highvale Inc. account below.

Step B. Ensure that you include your Membership ID and Name in the payment description, otherwise we will not be able to identify who the payment is from and you will not be able to enrol into classes.
Step C. Once you have paid, send an email to treasurer@u3ahighvale.com.au with your member ID and name so that the treasurer can match you with the deposit. For faster turnaround, include a copy of your payment receipt from the bank.
If I pay online can I use a debit card?
As long as your card is a Visa or Mastercard you will be able to use the card for your online payment. Both Visa and Mastercard support Credit as well as Debit cards.
Is paying online secure?
The MyU3A Member Management System does not record nor store your Visa or Mastercard details and no U3A volunteers or members are able to see any card information. The eWay payment system uses a high level of encryption when transferring this information through to the bank. The eWay payment system is certified with the highest level of Payment Card Industry Compliance. More information about eWay can be found on their website eWay.com.au. This online payment system is used by 20+ U3A’s in Victoria.
I have paid my fees, when will I be able to enrol in a course?
If you have paid online, and your payment was successful, you will be able to enrol immediately into course.
If you have opted to transfer funds into our bank account, the treasurer will need to confirm payment. Once this has occurred, an email will be sent to you to inform you that you can now enrol in courses.
When transferring funds I forgot to include my ID & Name in the payment description. What do I do?
It is important that we are able to distinguish your payment from other payments that appear in our account. Contact the treasurer@u3ahighvale.com.au and provide as much information as possible:
- the date and time of your bank transfer
- details of what you put in the bank transfer description
- a copy of your online payment record (if you have it) would also assist in the matching process
- provide your membership ID and name (so the we can look for you in our membership system)
With this information we will attempt to identify your payment in our bank records.
This will be investigated when there is available free time. During the busy periods, when the new year enrolments occur, there may be significant delays in attempting to match payments.
Does U3A Highvale accept cash or cheques?
No. Please DO NOT pay by cash or cheque as we do not have the capability of safely storing this these payment methods prior to making the deposit into the bank. If you really are unable to pay via EFT or visit a bank to deposit your fee, can we suggest that you ask a family member or a friend to assist you.
